PEORIA — Bradley freshman guard Connor Hickman had basketball, not turkey, on his mind as the team returned from the Paradise Jam tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands to practice Thursday and Friday.

"I'm not thinking about Thanksgiving," Hickman said Monday. "I'm thinking about those Thursday and Friday practices we're going to have, we got to come in and battle ... it's going to be a war.

"I'm looking forward to going into Saturday a confident group of 16 guys. We got to get back to what Bradley basketball is all about, find our identity."

On to Saturday, when Bradley hosts Maine in Carver Arena.

Colorado State's David Roddy was tournament MVP. The All-Tournament team: Roddy (Colorado State); Isaiah Stevens (Colorado State); Shaquille Walters (Northeastern); Ryan Nembhard (Creighton); Lance Jones (Southern Illinois); Evan Battey (Colorado). ... Bradley forward Rienk Mast is 1 of 21 from 3-point range through six games. ... Guard Terry Roberts is hitting 3s at 37.9%, while fellow guards Mikey Howell and Connor Hickman follow at 36.4% and 35.4%, respectively. Forward Malevy Leons is at 38.9% (7 of 18). ...
