Bradley boys basketball beats County Line on 3-pointer with 3 seconds left for state title

HOT SPRINGS - Bradley defeated County Line on a 3-pointer by Tyrese Harris with three seconds left for a 44-41 victory in the Arkansas Activities Association 1A boys basketball championship at Bank OZK Arena on Friday.

It's the first state championship since 1994 for Bradley (37-5).

County Line (40-5) was seeking its first championship since 1971 and had averaged 56.7 points in its three prior state tournament games. County line committed a five-second violation on the inbounds play after Harris' basket.

Bradley forward Colbie West was named the 1A Tournament MVP after scoring a team-high 14 points, which included a game-tying inside floater that made it 41-all with 52 seconds left.

County Line junior Aundrae Milum led all scorers with 16 points, making 8 of 12 free throws.

The Bears had been behind since the 5:15 mark in the second quarter until Harris hit his 3-pointer.

County Line had a 24-19 halftime lead despite second-leading scorer Cooper Watson sitting out the latter part of the second quarter with his second foul. Down 33-24, Bradley narrowed the deficit to 33-29 after Watson went out again with his third foul.

With County Line up 35-32, Watson scored six points in three possessions to hold serve, although Bradley's Jaylan Taylor made an inside basket with 2:49 left to cut it to 41-39.
