Jay-Z is a fan of “Judge Judy” and there’s no objection to it.

Actor Bradley Cooper revealed this nugget of information in an interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.

Cooper witnessed Hov watching the courtroom reality show when he made the ultimate house call.

The “Maestro” actor went to the Carter residence to persuade Beyoncé to star as the lead in “A Star Is Born.”

Years before the 2018 film with Lady Gaga, the movie was initially supposed to be directed by Clint Eastwood.

Eastwood wanted Cooper to be an actor in the film, but the “Silver Linings Playbook” star hesitated.

“I didn’t think I was able to play this sort of weathered drunk guy,” he explained. “I felt I hadn’t lived enough and that was a hard conversation, I mean you’re idol. I went into his office and I said ‘Clint, I think I’d be acting.’ And that’s not a good thing to say no to him.”

The conversation picked back up when the pair watched Annie Lennox perform at the Grammys.

From there, Cooper reached out to Warner Bros. Pictures president Greg Silverman.

He agreed but under two conditions: make the film for under $25 million and cast Beyoncé.

Cooper then went to the singer’s home and caught her husband relaxing in front of the TV.

“Jay-Z was watching ‘Judge Judy'” the actor revealed.

The crowd immediately reacted in disbelief at this anecdote, even moderator Willie Geist of NBC News.

“I’m not kidding,” Cooper explained. “I was freaking- I was so, I had this weird cough when I was pitching it to her.”

Cooper and the Carters had moved quite along in the process.

“It was crazy. She was incredible and so was (Jay-Z), and we developed it for like a year together. I mean, she is one of the greatest people of all time. And then that fell through.”

He initially had Adele in mind as his next choice, but that didn’t work out either.

It wasn’t until he attended a cancer benefit and saw Lady Gaga sing “La Vie en Rose” that he knew he found his person.

“It just blew the doors off of the whole place, and it was in that moment where it was like, ‘That’s it. What was I even thinking?’ And then I asked to meet her,” he said.

Cooper ended up playing the opposite of the “Poker Face” singer as well as directing the film. The rest is cinematic history

The film ended up earning eight nominations at the 2019 Academy Awards and took home the Oscar for Best Original Song for “Shallow.”
