A new program at the Monroe Family YMCA will focus on a different kind of exercise.
“Brain Games” is open to children in first through sixth grades. It will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 24 through March 7. The cost is $30 a child. All materials are provided.
“This six-week program will exercise kids’ brains through challenging and engaging projects,” the Y said. “Come exercise your mind.”
Among the projects are creating a board game, building a popsicle-stick bridge, making a foil boat and constructing with Legos.
Registration is due by Jan. 20 by stopping by the Y at 1111 W. Elm Ave. or visiting www.monroefamilyymca.org.
