BRAINTREE – In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Curtain Call Theatre presents “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!” – a musical revue that explores the ups and downs of relationships.

The show, with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts, runs two weekends from Feb. 10 to 19. It was an off-Broadway hit and played at the old Stuart Street Playhouse in Boston for many years. Told in a series of vignettes and songs, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!” deals with modern-day romantic relationships, from dating through marriage and even what comes after, in a sketch called "Funerals Are for Dating."

“I saw this show many years ago when I was young, dating and single and loved it. Years later as a married dad of two kids, I still love it. I'm sure 20 years from now I'll still love it,” Herschberg said.

Costa, who has also directed “Every Brilliant Thing,” “Forever Plaid” and “Nunsense” for Curtain Call Theatre, said he had never seen the show before and “instantly fell in love with it. The cast and I have had a lot of fun throughout the process.”
