The Atlanta Braves unveiled their City Connect uniforms on Monday and they are filled with royal touches to honor Hank Aaron.
The Braves will debut the City Connect jersey on April 8, the anniversary of Aaron’s 715th home run that broke Babe Ruth’s record. The team will also wear the City Connect jersey and hats every Saturday home game.
“The Atlanta Braves are proud to honor Hank Aaron with our City Connect uniforms,” Atlanta Braves President and CEO Derek Schiller said in a news release.
“We are thankful to Nike who collaborated with us on the designs as we recognized the impact that Hank continues to have on our organization while also celebrating the role of the Braves in our community.”
While “The A” stands out loudly, the City Connect jerseys are filled with small details to pay homage to one of the biggest nights and figures in baseball history.
The colors are inspired, of course, by the Braves’ 1974 uniform that Aaron was wearing that night he broke the record. There’s also a 715 sewn into the collar to look like the scoreboard Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium.
Aaron’s signature, No. 44 and his “Keep Swinging” motto are sewn at the bottom of the jersey and on the inside of the cap’s bill. The sleeves also resemble the peak of a crown, a nod to Aaron’s time as the true home run king.
The Braves say a portion of the jersey sales purchased at the Braves Clubhouse Store will go toward the Henry Louis Aaron Fund, which was founded after the legend’s death in 2021.
City Connect jerseys will go on sale Saturday at the clubhouse store at 10 a.m. for A-List season ticket holders and 11 a.m. for the general public. The jerseys can also be purchased

Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski reveal the post-draft fantasy power rankings. The duo break down the rankings in six tiers: Elite offensive ecosystems, teams on the cusp of being complete mixed bag ecosystems, offensive ecosystems with something to prove, offenses that could go either way, and offenses that are best to stay away from in fantasy.
