Tracy Bray and Jason Liggett had 18.21 pounds to win the 4th Annual “Casting Lures For Cures” tournament May 7 on the Kissimmee Chain. Cole Schmucker and Chandler Cornelius took second place with 17.28 pounds. Quentin Calvin and Nathan Parnell took third place with 16.70 pounds. Preston Branch and Coleton Brogden had big bass with an 8.64 pounder.

Marlon Crowder and Kolbi Morgan had 26.34 pounds and big bass with a 9.98 pounder to win the Xtreme Bass Series Kissimmee Division tournament May 8 on Lake Kissimmee. Clayton Walls and Shane Walls took second place with 22.95 pounds. Bradley McQueen and Drew Wanczak took third place with 21.62 pounds.

Eddie Yearry and Gary Wayne Yearry Sr. had 21.38 pounds and big bass with a 7.58 pounder to win the Polk County Bass Anglers Club open tournament May 7 on the Winter Haven North Chain. Hunter Dowdy and Jacob Eaton were second with 18.83 pounds.

Walt Hunziker had 7 pounds, 1 ounce. to win the Lone Fishing Club tournament May 7 at Lake Walk-in-the-Water. Robert Corey took second place with 5 pounds, 7 ounces. Gary White had big bass with a 2-pound, 1-ounce fish.

Johnnie Renner and Bruce Renner had 9.87 pounds to win the Mosaic Bass Club tournament May 7 at Crooked Lake. Richard Blair and Earl Barley took second place with 9.68 pounds. Junior Jordan and Ruth Scott took third place with 9.17 pounds. Ruth Scott had big bass with a 4.02 pounder.

Tom Thomas and Dan Dixon had 14.20 pounds and big bass with a 5.10 pounder to win the Pond Jumpers Tournament Trail event May 7 on Lake Kissimmee. Loran Hepler and Julia Hepler were second with 10.20 pounds. Johnny Johnson and Colby Evans placed third with 7.14 pounds.

Scott Hughes and Julie Hughes had 15.90 pounds and big bass with a 6.70 pounder to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Sunday Open Series tournament May 8 at Lake Hancock. Joshua Dunn and Ed Pyles took second place with 13.50 pounds. Dylan Trevarthen placed third with 11.20 pounds.

Chris Fox and Matt Glenndenning had 10.85 pounds to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Saddle Creek “Monday Nighter” tournament May 9 at Saddle Creek Park. Tommy Hall and Steve Olewine took second place with 9.65 pounds. Dwight Freeman and Ishmael Garcia placed third with 8.65 pounds.

Upcoming Tournaments

The next Thursday Night Open Series tournament is May 12 at Banana Lake. Time is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sign-ups are at the ramp only and will be cut off at 5:50 p.m. Entry fee is $30 per boat, no more than two people per boat. For more info, contact Rick Combee at 863-860-3916.

The next Florida Crappie Club tournament will be their season ending classic May 13-14 on the St. Johns River out of the Astor public ramp. The next Fishing Misfits’ tournament is May 14 at Lake Juliana out of the Polk County Ramp. This tournament is for members only. No boats allowed over 115 horsepower and no pro anglers or guides are permitted. The 4th Annual Battle of the Bass Tournament benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay is May 21 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Mack. The tournament Entry fee is $200 per boat for two anglers with $20 optional big bass fee. A $5,000 first place prize is guaranteed. Registration begins a 5 a.m. and time is safe daylight to 3 p.m. Anglers may register online or on site prior to the tourney. However, after May 13 entry fee will be $240. The Camp Mack Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina & RV Resort 2022 Bonfire Tournament Series continues with its second event, the Blazing Bass Challenge June 4 at Lake Kissimmee. This is the second of three, one day tournaments to be held throughout the year and will conclude with a two-day tournament in November.
