Brazil police dog mascot becomes internet sensation

Rio police officer Cristiano Oliveira took the dog in
after finding him abandoned, hungry and injured in 2019

“I took a coat, a police shirt and put it on him as a joke. I took a picture and sent it to our station’s roster groups and posted them there. And the joke started becoming viral. I opened an Instagram account for him.”
“(My life) changed, I had to become a blogger because of him. I had to learn how digital presence works because of him. If I spend more than three days without posting a picture people are already demanding ‘Where is Oliveira?’, ‘Where did Oliveira go?’”
The canine has more than 112,000 Instagram followers
