Brazilians ready for iconic Rock in Rio festival

STORY: Local media reported around 350 people braced the opportunity to see a preview of the festival on Tuesday as builders and technicians gave the finishing touches on the stages.

Amenities such as a Ferris wheel, a rollercoaster, and a zip line were open for visitors to test out.

For some, such as music fan and festival goer Betty, attending Rock In Rio is a yearly tradition.

The festival will begin on Friday and will continue through September 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, and 11.

Headliners include Brazilian and international stars such as Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and Gilberto Gil.

Rio de Janeiro mayor Eduardo Paes said the festival will be an opportunity for locals to reunite.
