Bre Davis named 2022 Owen County Fair Queen

The 2022 Owen County Fair was kicked off recently by the crowning of this year's royalty. At the end of the pageant, Bre Davis was announced at Queen and Taylor York as Princess.

Owen County Fair Queen & Best Evening Gown

Bre Davis was named Queen at this year's is a 2022 graduate of Owen Valley High School. She is the daughter of Nikki Bradley and Delano Porter and was sponsored by the Owen County Junior Leaders. She plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana to study pre-physical therapy. While in high school, she was involved in Student Council, Beta Club, National Honor Society, Owen County Junior Leaders, Fantastics 4-Hers 4-H Club, Indiana 4-H Ambassador Program, volleyball, tennis and advanced show choir.

First Runner-Up, Miss Congeniality & Best Professional Wear

Hannah York was named first runner-up, Miss Congeniality and Best Professional Wear at the 2022 Owen County Fair Queen Pageant. She is a 2020 graduate of Owen Valley High School and is currently a student at Ivy Tech Community College. Hannah is the daughter of Corey and Amanda York and was sponsored by Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She plans to graduate with an Associate’s Degree and become an ultrasound technician through Ivy Tech’s Medical Sonography program. During High School, she completed 10 years of Owen County 4-H as well as an internship with the Spencer-Owen Community Schools as an Occupational Therapist. She was class treasurer and reporter for FFA during her senior year.

Second Runner-Up

Abigail Miller was second runner-up in this year's Owen County Fair Queen Pageant. Abigail is a 2022 graduate of Owen Valley High School and the daughter of April Miller and Thomas Miller. In the fall of 2022, she plans to attend Indiana State University, majoring in elementary education and minoring in theater. She hopes to return to Owen County to teach at the elementary level and create theater opportunities for the students. Abby is an active member of the Owen County Civic Theatre where she performs in plays and volunteers. She was also a member of the Owen Valley Patriot Choirs, participated in Owen Valley Campus Life, Owen Valley High School choirs at OVHS. Also while in high school, Abby was a cheerleader for three years and a three-year member of the School Safety Committee.

Owen County Fair Princess

Taylor York was named 2022 Owen County Fair Princess. She will be a junior at Owen Valley High School this fall and is the daughter of Corey and Amanda York. After high school, she would like to attend a four-year university with the hope of playing collegiate softball. She is or has been active in softball (varsity and travel), basketball, cross country, track & field, varsity show choir, 4-H, showing livestock and Campus Life Youth Group and has a part-time job at Babbs Supermarket.

Best Evening Gown (Princess Division)

Allyson Heidrich won the award for the Best Evening Gown at the 2022 Owen County Fair Queen & Princess Pageant. Allyson is an incoming sophomore at Owen Valley High School and is the daughter of Jeremy and Deena Heidrich. In the future, she hopes to graduate from Owen Valley at the top of her class and attend Ivy Tech for an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Her ultimate goal is to become a registered nurse for the Bloomington Hospital ER. Allyson is an active member of the Owen Valley FFA where she holds the title of Sentinel, Owen Valley Student Council and Cuba Baptist Church. She was the freshman class co-president and the pianist at the Cuba Baptist Church.

Best Casual Wear (Princess Division)

MiaRose Hess won the award for the Best Casual Wear during the 2022 Princess Pageant. Mia Rose is a student at Faith Academy Homeschool and is the daughter of John and Jenny Hess. In the future, she hopes to start a horse farm where people can create a lasting bond with their horses and she can start giving lessons to kids. MiaRose is an active member of 4-H, including the dog, cat, horse, rabbit, poultry, Junior Leaders, and Goal Getters clubs, Girl Scouts, Owen Valley Christian Fellowship Youth Group, S.O.U.N.D.S. String Ensemble, Bible Study Fellowship, and Freedom Homeschool Co-op.
