Break-ins reported at stadium, restaurant

Oct. 2—Weekend break-ins at Joe Becker Stadium and the Five Guys restaurant in Joplin remained under investigation Monday without any arrests having been made.

Someone cut the chain on a gate at the stadium in the 300 block of South High Avenue and damaged a door to the concession stand. Officers responding to an alarm at the stadium at 4:27 a.m. Sunday were unable to locate any suspects in the area. Nothing was reported stolen.

Police Capt. William Davis said a theft of a cash deposit at Five Guys, 1801 S. Range Line, was reported Saturday morning. Officers could find no signs of forced entry, Davis said.
