Break from late night: Kickoff, TV announced for Mississippi State football vs Bowling Green

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football's stretch of night games to open the 2022 season will end in Week 4.

MSU and Bowling Green will play at 11 a.m. Sept. 24. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network.

It'll be the second meeting between the programs with the Bulldogs winning at home 21-20 in 2013.

Mississippi State (2-0) is travelling to face LSU (1-1) on Saturday (5 p.m., ESPN). It's the third consecutive season MSU and LSU open SEC play against each other. The Bulldogs won in Baton Rouge two years ago in Mike Leach's debut. The Tigers returned the favor in Starkville last season.

MSU is coming off late-night wins against Memphis and at Arizona.

Bowling Green (0-2) has had a poor start to its season. After falling at UCLA 45-17 in Week 1, the Falcons lost in seven overtimes against Eastern Kentucky.

BGSU hosts Marshall this week after the Thundering Herd upset Notre Dame.
