Breakfast pizza with beer? Casey's celebrates fan fave's 21st birthday with special cheese sauce.
Casey's General Stores is celebrating its breakfast pizza's 21st birthday by offering a breakfast pizza featuring cheese sauce created using Busch Light beer.
"The secret's out!" the Iowa-based convenience store chain said on its Facebook site. "We've teamed up with Busch to create a new spin on our fan-favorite classic. Introducing: the Ultimate Beer Cheese Breakfast Pizza!"
That product was available this past weekend at all four Casey's stores in Topeka — which are at 600 S.E. Rice Road, 2133 N. Kansas Ave., 4441 S.E. California Ave. and 6741 S.W. 21st — according to employees who answered the phones at those locations.
Any living person born in September 2001, when Casey's introduced its breakfast pizza, the "bizza," will turn 21 — the legal drinking age — this month.

The Ultimate Beer Cheese Breakfast Pizza is created using made-from-scratch dough, Busch Light beer cheese sauce, bacon, sausage, ham, scrambled eggs, green peppers, onions and mozzarella and cheddar cheese, Casey's said in a news release.
The pizza will be sold over the next two to three months. Casey's suggests participating locations charge $16.99 for a large.
The Casey's news release said that as part of the celebration, it is also offering the following:
• 21% off the price of any large breakfast pizza through Wednesday to customers who use promo code “BIZZA.”
• A free slice of breakfast pizza, which must be redeemed by Oct. 1, to all Casey's Rewards members who turn 21 this month.
