A new bagel and breakfast shop has opened in the Harris Teeter shopping center at Carolina Colours.

Coastal Craven' Bagelry opened its doors to customers on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 2042 Waterscape Way.

Owners New Bern native Allison Mayo-Legg and her husband Josh previously owned Barrier Island Bagels in Kitty Hawk, which they opened in 2016.

A post to their Facebook page informed customers of the new opening date. According to the post, inspections were done on Jan. 21, which they passed with the exception of a hood fire alarm that could not be tested. Due to inclement weather, the inspection was not completed until Jan. 25 and the business opened at 9 a.m. Jan. 26.

In a previous Sun Journal article, Mayo-Legg said they had planned to open in October.

The owners were unable to be reached for additional comments.
