Alabama forward and projected lottery pick Brandon Miller declared for the 2023 NBA draft on Thursday afternoon, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Miller was as good as advertised this past season for the Crimson Tide. The Alabama legacy averaged 18.8 points per game, 8.2 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game. While doing so, he shot an efficient 43% from the field and 38.4% from three.

As a result of his profound success, Miller was named as a First-Team SEC All-American. He also won SEC Player of the Year and was named as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) freshman of the year.

Miller put his skillset on display in his lone season in Tuscaloosa. He displayed his ability to facilitate, shoot, and rebound. Overall, he was one of the best players in college basketball.

Alabama will miss Miller’s presence on both ends of the floor next season. However, this was widely anticipated given the type of player that Miller is.

Nonetheless, Alabama head coach Nate Oats will have his work cut out for him in trying to find Miller’s replacement heading into next season.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Miller’s path to the 2023 NBA Draft and continue to cover news surrounding the Alabama basketball team.
