Breaking Bad movie El Camino announces VERY short cinema release
Netflix has announced that the Breaking Bad movie El Camino will have a VERY short cinema release.
The spin-off film, which will see Aaron Paul reprise his role as Jesse Pinkman, will be showing in a limited number of theatres for just three days between October 11 and October 13.
It will also be available to stream on Netflix from midnight (Pacific Time) on October 11, as well as airing on AMC – Breaking Bad's original network – in the US.
At present, the film remains shrouded in mystery, but we do know that El Camino will focus on what happened to Jesse Pinkman following the explosive events of the Breaking Bad series finale.
The official logline for it reads: "In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future."
The last time we saw Jesse, he was making his escape from the neo-Nazi gang that had been holding him captive – and fans may remember that he made his getaway in a car stolen from one of the gang members, an El Camino.
In the first teaser for the film, we're shown returning fan favourite Skinny Pete being questioned by the police about Jesse's whereabouts.
"I have no idea where he is," he says. "Don't know where he's headed either. North, south, east, west, Mexico, the moon — I don't have a clue. But yo, even if I did, I wouldn't tell you."
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story premieres on Netflix on October 11, 2019.
