Crews extinguish kitchen fire at Taco Bell in Huber Heights

Emergency crews were called to a fire at a Taco Bell in Huber Heights.

Crews were called to a structure fire in the 6500 block of Brandt Pike around 5:16 a.m., according to Huber Heights Police dispatch.

News Center 7′s Xavier Hershovitz spoke with Battalion Chief Kenneth Stienbl on the scene and he says the fire damage was mainly on the inside.

When crews arrived they saw heavy smoke inside the restaurant with more billowing out from the roof.

Firefighters made their way inside and extinguished a fire in the kitchen.

Stienbl says the damage may force the business to close for some time.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
