Breaking down the brackets: MIAA announces high school boys soccer playoff field
The MIAA high school boys soccer state tournament will kick off this week.
Ten 10 teams from Cape Cod made the cut for the postseason. Amongst those 10, four will be hosting playoff games.
In Div. 5, No. 35 Sturgis West will head to No. 30 Bourne in the lone matchup between two Cape teams.
One game will feature two Cape teams in the preliminary round when No. 35 Sturgis West takes on No. 30 Bourne.

The preliminary-round game against Sturgis West should be a good one. A first-round matchup for either side against No. 3 Hampshire Regional will take a big upset.
No. 35 Sturgis West - Underdog
Despite being one of our four teams in the tournament with two or less losses, the Navigators will be on the road all tournament. Those three other teams are seeded in the top six.
No. 37 Monomoy - Underdog
The Sharks won a lot of games in the regular season, so they won’t be an easy out against No. 28 Manchester Essex. The winner of that game will try to pull off a big upset at No. 5 Frontier Regional.
