The KU basketball season ended with an NCAA Tournament second-round thud. But the news has been mostly good for the Jayhawks since then.

The roster has been bolstered by the return of Kevin McCullar and additions like Michigan transfer Hunter Dickinson. Former Jayhawk Christian Braun won an NBA Finals championship ring with the Denver Nuggets, and KU should have two players, Gradey Dick and Jalen Wilson, selected in Thursday’s NBA Draft.

Beat writers Gary Bedore and Shreyas Laddha talk about these topics and more on SportsBeat KC, The Star’s sports podcast.

Also, here’s some NBA Draft trivia:

With Dick and Wilson likely to be selected and Kansas State’s Keyonte Johnson and Missouri’s Kobe Brown projected to be picked in the second round, KU, K-State and Mizzou could be represented in the draft for the first time since ...

... 1988, when the Jayhawks’ Danny Manning (1), the Wildcats’ Mitch Richmond (5) and the Tigers’ Derrick Chievous (16) were selected.
