Breaking the news: Tallahassee Democrat, Big Bend Preps unveil 2023 All-Big Bend winter teams
The winter sports season has ended and it's time to introduce our All-Big Bend teams.
More than 100 area athletes, girls and boys, will be honored this week across basketball, soccer and wrestling.
The Tallahassee Democrat will also be awarding its first All-Big Bend girls' Wrestler of the Year as girls' wrestling became an FHSAA-sanctioned sport last winter.
This is the second season that girls' wrestlers have been included in All-Big Bend honors.

All-Big Bend will continue its theme of "Breaking the News." Players of the Year in each sport will be featured in a carefully constructed backdrop.
Prep sports reporter Jack Williams and photojournalist Alicia Devine spent three days building the crafted backdrop, featuring sports pages from various Democrat print issues.
Devine also used lighting gels to illuminate athletes in their school colors.

Teams are selected by the Democrat with help from local coaches.

March 21 (Tuesday): Girls soccer
March 22 (Wednesday): Boys soccer
March 23 (Thursday): Girls basketball
March 24 (Friday): Boys basketball
