Breast Cancer Network bringing survivorship program to Lockport

Jan. 3—The Breast Cancer Network of WNY will present a free breast cancer survivorship program in Lockport on Jan. 20.

The Day of Renewal program offers people impacted by breast cancer an opportunity to gather and learn new coping skills to help them navigate through their treatment and survivorship.

This is the second in a series of Day of Renewal programs planned throughout Western New York. It will offer hands-on workshops for therapeutic arts, floral arranging and reiki.

"As a breast cancer survivor myself, I know that it's hard to go a day without thinking about cancer. Our Day of Renewal program offers the opportunity for patients, survivors, and thrivers to come together and focus on self-care and connection," said Breast Cancer Network President Amy Hartl. "Everyone enjoys the activities and time shared and they learn new skills and lessons to put into practice in their own lives. These days focus less on cancer and more on living well!"

The program will be held at the Kenan House in Lockport from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes lunch and takeaways for the attendees.

Registration and more information can be found at www.bcnwny.org or by calling 716-706-0060.
