Cate Blanchett took home the award for best actress for her performance in "Tár" and was also seen on the red carpet.

Kate Hudson also made an appearance. She and her "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery" castmates took home the award for best acting ensemble.

Her costar Janelle Monáe walked the red carpet too. During the ceremony, Hudson presented her with the SeeHer Award to honor her work pushing boundaries and advocating for gender equality.

Brendan Fraser, who won best actor, made his first major appearance this awards season at the Critics' Choice Awards. He chose to boycott the Golden Globe Awards last week as previously said he was touched inappropriately by the former president of the organization behind the Globes.

"Elvis" star Austin Butler and director Baz Luhrmann were also seen on the red carpet together. Both have been grieving the loss of Lisa Marie Presley, who died on Thursday.
