Brett Dennen concert to benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County

PORTSMOUTH – On the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 11, Brett Dennen, an American folk singer/songwriter will perform at 3S Artspace. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County, a non-profit whose mission is to provide a safe environment for the evaluation and investigation of alleged abuse of children 3 to 18 years of age.

At the Child Advocacy Center, the goal is to help nurture and support children affected by abuse and violent crimes, allowing them to make their voices heard.

Embodying his philanthropic approach of “Live Well, Do Good,” Dennen is dedicated to helping improve lives and make for a better tomorrow by supporting the community through volunteer work.  He uses his music as a connector to inspire those to do good and create change in the world.

“We recognize the importance of collective involvement when working towards a world without child abuse,” said Chris McClain of Caring Beyond, an organization formed with Heather Galloway and Katie Myers, whose mission is to assist New Hampshire families and communities in times of crisis.

“It’s not often that we, as individuals, get to take action and actually see the change it brings,” said Galloway.

According to CAC’s Executive Director Maureen Sullivan, “Trauma does not vanish overnight, and neither should support for those who have suffered child abuse and neglect.”

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for cocktails and silent auction with VIP tickets; Show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets to the concert fundraiser are $50 general admission, $75 for VIP benefits and are available at tickets.caringbeyond.org.

3S Artspace is located at 319 Vaughan St. in Portsmouth.
