UPDATE: Brevard County deputies recover missing woman

Update 8 p.m.: The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said the woman recovered safely and was reunited with her family.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing woman last seen in Valkaria.

Deputies said Karen Hiza, 43, left her home on Sunday around 3:45 a.m.

Brevard County deputies said she was wearing a nightgown with no shoes.

The sheriff’s office said Hiza suffers from a mental health condition and did not take her prescribed medication.

She is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighs 160 pounds.
