Brevard HS sports week: State golf qualifiers plus region swimming & diving

The FHSAA has released the list of state qualifiers. From Viera, Kyle Virsik advanced to the 3A tournament as the second-seeded individual. The girls team already qualified for their state tournament.
Among Class 2A girls, Rebecca Luchs of Merritt Island and Lila Iwandowski of Palm Bay reached the tournament.
Alexander Bercea and Carson Sisler of Cocoa Beach, along with Edgewood's Asher Joseph, advanced as 1A boys individuals.
All state golf will be at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, beginning Tue
Wednesday
Region 2-2A swimming & diving
Satellite High's girls and the boys from Rockledge won Region 2-2A championships on Wednesday at Indian River State College. The runner-up teams were the Rockledge girls and Titusville boys.
Elliot Weisel, Eli Rollen and Sebastian Trujillo each won two individual events for Rockledge. Check back for more details, including winning times.

Region 2-3A golf
Viera's girls team placed second at the region 2-3A meet earning the team a spot in next week's state championship.
The Hawks came in second behind Lake Nona in team scoring. Hannah Hall tied for fifth place after shooting one over par (73).
Brittany Odic placed 14th overall (77), Vivian Luu tied for 15th place (78), and Margeaux Blais placed 31st (87).
