Brevard sends 39 to state wrestling Thursday in Kissimmee
Brevard County sent 39 high school wrestlers to the FHSAA state tournament that runs Thursday through Saturday at Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee.
Palm Bay, Merritt Island and Heritage led the contingent in numbers. Nine Pirates, eight Mustangs and seven Panthers earned spots by finishing in the top four in weight classifications at last weekend's regional meets.

Satellite, with four, and Space Coast (three) followed. Eau Gallie, Rockledge and Viera sent two each.
Wrestling begins at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, 9:15 a.m. Friday and 9:30 Saturday. Championship matches should begin at 4:15 Saturday. Tickets are $12 at the door. Parking is $10.
