New brewery coming to Bellingham, library opens new branch, Trackside gears up for summer

New brewery opening this summer

A summer 2023 opening is planned for Larrabee Lager Company, a new brewery, beer hall and pizza restaurant, although a specific date has not been announced.

The new brewery will be at 4151 Meridian St. in Bellingham.

New Bellingham Public Library branch

The Bellingham Public Library opened a new location inside the Bellis Fair mall on Wednesday, April 26. The new library is 4,500 square feet and features books and materials for all ages, computer and Wi-Fi access, and a children’s area, according to previous reporting by The Bellingham Herald. The library branch is open from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. It is at 1 Bellis Fair Parkway in Bellingham.

Kulshan Trackside location reopens

Kulshan Brewing Company is reopening its beloved Trackside location on Friday, May 5 and celebrating with live music. The opening weekend party will feature live music from The Sulfites at 5:30 p.m. and DJ JDone at 7:30 p.m. The beer garden will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturdays and noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays through May, then increase hours starting in June. It is at 298 W Laurel St. in Bellingham.

Potential new Asian restaurant

A new restaurant, Lee Asian Bistro, has filed for a city restaurant beer and wine license at the previous location of Jake’s BBQ at 8114 Guide Meridian Rd. in Lynden.
