A brewery in Charlotte, NC, had to pull a batch of its Christmas beer from shelves after someone anonymously complained about the can's labels which included two reindeer, um, well...doing it.

Sycamore Brewing posted a photo of the cans with the cartoons censored with friendlier-looking reindeer faces and shared that cans of its Christmas Cookie Winter Ale would now exclusively be available for sale in its taproom with "G-rated can art."

When fans inquired as to what happened, the taproom reportedly clarified that there had been an anonymous complaint (though the comment appears to have since been deleted on Facebook). According to Fox 46, they had received a visit from the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission in regards to the complaint and thus, it needed to be pulled from shelves.

If you want to take a look at the uncensored version, you can take a look here. It is...extremely tame! Just a couple of cartoon reindeers vaguely humping each other. Pretty standard stuff! Justin Brigham, the brewery's co-owner, told The Charlotte Agenda that it's designed to look like your standard ugly Christmas sweater with a little surprise.

“Then on a second look, you get a smile on your face and laugh a little bit,” he said.

The cans were apparently not meant to be widely available, so the brewery thought they could get away with having a little holiday fun with it. Still, all seems to be well, because the owners told the Agenda that even the beverage control agent tasked with delivering the bummer news had a good laugh about it.
