Brian Kelly comments on Chris Doering's clown suit after LSU football's win over Florida

BATON ROUGE - LSU football coach Brian Kelly was in for a surprise Monday morning.

Following LSU's 45-35 win over Florida in The Swamp on Saturday, Kelly made an appearance on "SEC This Morning" on SEC Network and was greeted by co-hosts Peter Burns and Chris Doering.

The catch: Doering was wearing a clown suit with makeup and a rainbow wig.

"I had no idea," Kelly said at his weekly press conference, just hours later. "I didn't know that he was going to dress like a clown."

For a fourth consecutive year, Doering bet with Burns that the Gators (4-3, 1-3 SEC) would win against LSU (5-2, 3-1). But, once again, Doering's prediction did not come true, hence the clown suit.

"Death, taxes and Chris Doering losing our annual LSU-Florida bet," Burns announced before Doering appeared on camera. "So without further ado here on SEC This Morning, we'd like to welcome in featured guest Chuckles The Clown."

LSU faces off against Ole Miss (7-0, 3-0) in Tiger Stadium this Saturday (2:30 p.m., CBS)

"I think if you keep betting, you get what you deserve there. He's 0-for-4," Kelly said. "In that situation, I think he should just up the ante at this point and make sure there's no dress that he comes out with next time. Then there won't be any more betting."
