Brian Kelly gives John Emery Jr., Jack Bech injury updates for LSU football vs Alabama
BATON ROUGE - LSU football running back John Emery Jr. and wide receiver Jack Bech are a "go" to play against No. 6 Alabama, coach Brian Kelly said Wednesday.
LSU (6-2, 4-1 SEC) hosts the Crimson Tide (7-1, 4-1) at Tiger Stadium on Saturday (6 p.m., ESPN).
Emery missed the Tigers' last matchup due to an achilles injury, while Bech was out because of a back injury.
Left guard Garrett Dellinger, who has missed the last two games with a knee injury, is still day-to-day. If he is available against Alabama, he would most likely be in a rotation at guard and not fill in as a starter.
"He would be somebody that would be able to be in a rotation for us which will be very beneficial, being able to take some snaps away from the rotation at the guard position," Kelly said.

LSU is also bringing back safety Major Burns who, according to Kelly, was cleared to practice this week on Monday. Burns has been out since Week 4 with a neck injury.
Dellinger has been a valuable starter. After starting the season opener at center, he's become the Tigers' starting left guard when healthy. He's allowed just two pressures in 181 pass-blocking snaps this year, according to Pro Football Focus.
Before suffering a back ailment against Florida, Bech was LSU's starting punt and kick returner and another strong option for quarterback Jayden Daniels in the Tigers' passing attack. Emery Jr., who missed LSU's last game vs. Ole Miss, has 152 rushing yards and two total touchdowns this season.
