Brian McKnight And His Wife Leilani Welcome Baby Boy

Singer Brian McKnight has been giving music to melt our hearts for years, and now, the 53-year-old soulful singer will be singing lullabies because he and his wife just welcomed a baby boy.

The “Back at One” singer and his wife, Leilani, are now the proud parents of a son they named Brian Kaino Makoa McKnight. The couple announced the birth in a joint Instagram post on Jan. 23.

The couple is overjoyed about the expansion of their family. They took to Instagram in a touching post, featuring a popular biblical verse.

“‘For this child we have prayed and the Lord has granted us the desires of our hearts’ 1 Samuel 1:27 God’s greatest gift, our son is here!!!” the pair reads, alongside a photo of McKnight and Leilani making a heart with their hands around the baby boy’s hands. They added: 🤍 Brian Kainoa Makoa McKnight 🤍 We are so in love!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.”

Fatherhood is not new to McKnight. He and his wife are already proud parents to a son Jack and a daughter Julia. He is also father to two sons with his ex-wife, Julie McKnight– Brian Jr. and Niko. The pair were married from 1990 to 2003.

He also has a daughter, Briana, from a previous relationship.

Brian and Lelani first revealed in November 2022 that they were expecting a new bundle of joy, which they referred to as their “rainbow baby,” months after the pregnancy loss of the baby they named Kekoa.
