Big Slick co-host Rob Riggle didn’t just praise on national TV the work that Kansas City’s Children’s Mercy does. He won $10,000 for the hospital, too.

Riggle put his somewhat limited skills with Lego building bricks to the test this week on the Fox show “Lego Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular,” and won.

He and his celebrity competitors, paired with talented Lego masters from previous seasons, played in the show’s second annual holiday edition, which aired Monday and Tuesday, to win money for their favorite charities.

And of course, Riggle chose Children’s Mercy.

Riggle — along with Jason Sudeikis, Paul Rudd, Rob Riggle, Eric Stonestreet, David Koechner and now Heidi Gardner — co-host Big Slick Celebrity Weekend every year for 14 years to raise money for the hospital.

Big Slick has raised more than $20 million for Children’s Mercy. In June, the biggest slate of celebrity guests yet raised a record sum — more than $3.5 million.

“I want to win because of the charity that I’m supporting,” Riggle told the show’s host, his longtime friend Will Arnett.

“We created this event every year called Big Slick for Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. That’s my hometown and it is an amazing hospital.”

Riggle wasn’t exactly proficient with the Legos when the show’s four episodes were filmed in Atlanta in April. He’s been busy with his revived podcast, “Riggle’s Picks,” and also made an indie action movie, “Code 3,” that hasn’t been released.

Riggle recently told The Star he felt “lucky” to be paired with Krystle Starr, who competed on the first season of “Lego Masters.” In the first episode of the Christmas-themed competition, Riggle designed a train.

“I’ve seen the good work they’ve done and it’s life changing,” he said on the show. “I think now we say the train is coming from the North Pole to Children’s Mercy Hospital.”

In another challenge they built a “Rob Rulez snowplow” which he joked had his “big, dumb face on the front.”

“I had nowhere to get up but up — my learning curve was steep,” Riggle told The Star of his Lego building skills. “I learned a lot, I had a blast and (Krystle) was great to work with.”

Riggle competed against “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes, singer/TV personality Kelly Osbourne and former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, all paired with fan-favorite builders from previous seasons.

“Big thanks to Will Arnett and the folks behind LEGO Masters for having Rob as part of the show and helping to bring awareness of Big Slick KC and Children’s Mercy!” the folks at Big Slick wrote on their Facebook page this week.

Fox’s Emmy-nominated “Lego Masters,” based on a British reality show by the same name, premiered in 2020. The popular holiday-themed edition will reportedly return in December 2024.
