Quote from Starukh: "Another bridge – this one between Melitopol and Tokmak – ‘got tired’. Novobohdanivka – Troitske."

Details: Melitopol has been controlled by Russian forces since 25 February.

At the beginning of May, Ivan Fedorov, the mayor of Melitopol, said that more than 60% of Melitopol’s residents had left.

Background:

  • On 3 July, the Special Operations Forces reported that unknown people had blown up the railway bridge between the temporarily occupied cities of Melitopol and Tokmak. The explosion occurred in the occupied village of Liubymivka; Russian forces had been using this branch line to run trains carrying weapons and military equipment to the front.

  • On 2 July, an armoured train with ammunition "accidentally" went off the rails near Melitopol, with the help of [local - ed.] partisans.

  • In April, another railway bridge in this area was blown up by unknown people.
