Bridgerton season 3 teases Colin and Penelope romance in new clip

Netflix has shared a first-look teaser clip from Bridgerton season 3, giving fans a first look at the Colin and Penelope romance.
The brief clip sees Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) gazing at each other in a drawing room, with Penelope confessing: "Your eyes are the most remarkable shade of blue.
"And yet somehow they shine even brighter when you are kind," she continues.

After Penelope's admission, the two awkwardly drop eye contact, with the youngest Featherington adding: "I might say something like that... if you were a suitor."
Colin mumbles an agreement, whilst grabbing a drink and nervously proceeding to down the contents.
"Well, that was uh, rather direct," he responds, before their exchange is cut short by the sound of voices chatting off screen in the background.

The clip ends with a reminder of the two release dates for Part 1 and Part 2 of the upcoming season, with the first half airing on Netflix on May 16 and the second arriving on June 13.
Bridgerton season three, based on the novels by Julia Quinn, will centre on the relationship between Colin and Penelope (who is also, unknown to the Ton, gossip writer Lady Whistledown).
Fans were previously treated to first-look images of their blossoming romance last June, with Netflix notifying viewers of the release schedule back in December.
Bridgerton season two episodes dropped on Netflix in late March 2022, with filming for the third season taking place in July 2022.
The streaming service has already confirmed season four will happen, with Netflix announcing a fourth instalment alongside the season three renewal news.
Bridgerton season one and two and prequel series Queen Charlotte are available now on Netflix. Bridgerton season three will be released from May 16, 2024.
