Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor has shared her famous mum's advice for dealing with the limelight.

The actress, who recently starred in Netflix thriller Fair Play and has previously been in Waterloo Road, is the daughter of Sally Dynevor, who has been on Coronation Street since 1986.

In a photoshoot with Elle, Phoebe spoke about some of the wisdom her mother imparted on her, stating: "My mum's best advice has been to just enjoy it all.

"There was a certain point with Bridgerton where I was over-analysing everything and my mum told me to just embrace it all, and not to be terrified of it.

"I've been surrounded by creativity from day one," she added. "When I was younger, we would go on set (at Corrie) a lot, and I got used to seeing people from TV come to our house. I was in awe of it all and loved seeing the family that people built on set and how everyone worked in very different jobs to create something."

Following her role in Fair Play, the actress has received a BAFTA nomination for the EE Rising Star award, and not only will she be taking her mother's advice during the ceremony, she'll also be taking her mother.

"I find awards shows terrifying," she admitted. "Imposter syndrome is a real thing! They're really scary but also very exciting because you’re in a room full of incredible people.

"I'm already planning my outfit for the BAFTAs. I work with Louis Vuitton and I have two dresses to choose from. I'll take my mum as my plus one. I want to be present and soak it all up because that moment will never happen again.

"I'm the type of person who doesn’t believe that I'll win so I probably won't write a speech and then I'll have to wing it."

Bridgerton seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Season 3 premieres in two parts, on May 16 and June 13.

The EE British Academy Film Awards take place on Sunday, February 18. It will air on BBC One and iPlayer.
