Bridgerton's Simone Ashley teases "hotter than ever" season 3

Bridgerton star Simone Ashley has claimed the third season of the show is set to be "hotter than ever".
In an interview with ELLE, Ashley teased that the third instalment of the Netflix and Shondaland series is set to be as sexually charged as the previous two series, if not more so.
"I just think it is going to be hotter than ever," she said.
Ashley wasn't able to divulge too much about the upcoming season, though she did share how she thinks the audience will see a different side to her character Kate in season three.

"I think you're going to see a much more softer side coming this season,” she added. "We'll likely be able to see that 'softness' in Kate's wardrobe, and in her marriage to Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey).
"She's going to be quite content with her husband."
Ashley played feisty Kate Sharma in season two of the Shonda Rhimes-produced programme, who proved to be the perfect match to Bailey's Anthony.
Viewers were delighted to see the two transition from enemies to lovers, and eventually husband and wife, in the last outing of the Ton.

Whilst season two was all about Anthony and Kate's romance, season three will instead explore the relationship between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).
Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan confirmed her Bridgerton character Penelope (who also happens to be Lady Whistledown) will take centre stage in the next series. She's also teased a 'Polin' sex scene – could this be the 'hot' detail co-star Ashley is hinting at?
News that series three of Bridgerton will follow Colin and Penelope's romance came as a shock to fans who are familiar with the Julia Quinn book series that the show is based on.
Quinn's third book, An Offer from a Gentleman, focuses on Benedict Bridgerton's hunt for love, but show producers have chosen to change the order for the third season.
Coughlan defended the change and explained that the decision was ultimately out of her hands.
Whilst the recent arrival of Queen Charlotte on Netflix has gone some way to fill a Bridgerton-shaped hole in fans' lives for the moment, there's still no official release date for the main show's third season.
Filming for Bridgerton season three began in July 2022, so it's hoped that viewers won't have to wait too much longer for it to arrive on screens.
Bridgerton seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
