Bridgewater man fatally gun down in Elizabeth: police

Police are investigating after a 27-year-old Bridgewater man died early Saturday in a shooting in Elizabeth.

The Union County Prosecutor's Office identified Jameer Outsey as the victim.

Union County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for anonymous tips that lead to the indictment and conviction of the shooter.

Elizabeth police responded early Saturday to the area of North Broad Street and Magnolia Avenue after receiving reports of a man with a gunshot wound, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

Arriving officers found Outsey who was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, the Prosecutor's Office said.
