Brie Larson Channeled a Glamorous Pageant Queen in Ruffled Rodarte

It was a whole lot of look — and that was the point.

Brie Larson's press tour for "Avengers: Endgame" has been one opportunity after another for the star (and her stylist, Samantha McMillen) to come through with major fashion flexes on the red carpet. And the Seoul premiere on Monday was no exception: For the brightly-lit occasion, Larson channeled major beauty pageant vibes in a ruffled pink-and-blue silk organza dress from Rodarte's Fall 2019 collection.

The gown, which featured a bodice covered in an ornately beaded floral print, also included a poufy, voluminous ruffle that cascaded from one hip down the length of the hem. It harkened back to the late '80s and early '90s with both its silhouette and its bright color palette, and it was, to be frank, a whole lot of look. But that was the point! She's a superhero, after all — she can stand to have a bit of fun with her fashion choices.

Larson rounded out the glamorous, pageant-y effect of the gown with her beauty look, as well. Hairstylist Bryce Scarlett created soft finger waves with bouncy volume and a deep side part, while makeup artist Nina Park kept Larson's makeup classic, with rosy lips, groomed brows and a pink flush on the cheeks.
