Brie Larson's got serious muscles and she's got all the photos (and vids) to prove it.
In her latest Instagram drop, the Captain Marvel star posed in a backless dress that accentuated her ultra-sculpted legs, arms, and back—the result of hours of intense training for her superhero role.
In addition to working with her trainer, Brie also likes to box and rock climb to stay in shape.
Brie Larson doesn’t screw around at the gym—and she’s showing off the results of all her hard work with a photo that’ll simply make your jaw drop. In a new Instagram post, the 32-year-old actress flashed some seriously toned legs (and arms and everything), while posing in a black backless dress.
The Captain Marvel star kept the caption simple: “ 🖤😇”
But really, no words were needed. People low-key freaked in the comments. “OKAY MUSCLE,” one wrote. “YOU UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” another chimed. “You're killing it 🙌,” said a superfan.
Of course, Brie didn’t get those killer legs, abs, and arms by accident. She’s been more than clear that she puts in some serious sweat equity. Brie has dropped a ton of fitspo content on Instagram, sharing little snippets of the hours she spends at the gym, getting all Captain Marvel-y.
Last week, for example, she dropped a video of herself doing push-ups with a friggin chain wrapped around her waist. In the video, Brie whipped through the push-ups at a steady pace like a total champ until her trainer told her she could stop.
But that’s not all. Brie shared another recent video of herself lifting a massive barbell (like the size of her body) with tons of weights stacked on it—six times! "Sometimes I surprise myself! Thanks @risemovement for helping me reach new heights!" she wrote in the caption.
Brie has also dropped videos of herself doing kettlebell squats with extra resistance and planks with extra weight on her back. Oh, and one-armed pull-ups? Yup, she aces those too.
Naturally, Brie eats well. Her nutritionist, Dr. Philip Goglia, told People that Brie used her diet to help bulk up while filming Captain Marvel. That included having a teaspoon of almond butter and all-fruit jam or preserves for breakfast in the morning. “The most recent science has shown that a little bit of fat and a little bit of simple sugar will actually increase intensity rate while you train early in the morning...and allow you to still continue to train and burn fat,” Goglia explained. “That really does start your engine for you.”
Brie would follow that up with a protein shake or eggs and then have a snack of fruit. And lunchtime usually called for chicken and veggies, followed by two more snacks before dinner. Aaand she drank three to four liters of water a day.
Just going to go out on a limb here and say that Captain Marvel is totally real...
