Bridget Coyne, RN, MSN, CNP, ACNP-BC, has been hired as a certified nurse practitioner by Lovelace Medical Group Gastroenterology. Coyne received her bachelor's of science in nursing at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and completed her master's of science in nursing at the University of Pittsburgh. She is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is seeing gastroenterology patients at Lovelace Women's Hospital, 4705 Montgomery NE.

Genevieve Davis, RN, NP-C, has been hired as a board certified family nurse practitioner by Lovelace Medical Group Gastroenterology. Davis has 10 years of experience. She received her bachelor's of science in nursing from the University of Arizona in Tucson, and her master's of nursing from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a former part of the inflammatory bowel disease team at Albany Medical center. She sees gastrointestinal patients at Lovelace Medical Center, 601 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. NE.

James Dunlap, MPAC, PA-C has been hired as a certified physician assistant by Lovelace Medical Group Orthopedics. Dunlap has experience with orthopedics, internal and emergency medicine and assisting in robotic surgery. He received his bachelor of arts in biology at Cedarville University in Ohio and his master's of physician assistant practice at the University of Dayton. He sees orthopedic patients at Lovelace Medical Center, 601 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. NE.

Lisa Mercado, certified physician assistant, has been hired by Lovelace Medical Group in emergency general surgery. New Mexico-born Mercado acquired her bachelor's of science in emergency medicine at the University of New Mexico and completed her master's of science in physician assistant studies at the University of Saint Francis in Albuquerque. She has experience in radiology, public health management, nutrition counseling and laboratory analysis, as well as more than 10 years of experience in emergency surgery. She sees patients at Lovelace Medical Group — Emergency General Surgery.

Mary Rose Korduner, CNM, MS, SANE-A/P, has been hired as a certified nurse midwife by Lovelace Medical Group. Korduner earned her bachelor's of science in nursing from Holy Names College in Oakland, California, and her master's of science from Philadelphia University. She speaks Spanish and English, and works in women's primary care as well as labor and birth, family planning, menopause, postpartum and trauma informed family care. Korduner is a leader in the American College of Nurse Midwives, the New Mexico Breast-feeding Coalition and the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. She sees patients at Lovelace Women's Hospital, 4705 Montgomery NE.

Eric Theresa Lujan, RN, MSN, FNP-C, has been hired by Lovelace Westside Hospital Sleep Center. Lujan received her bachelor's of science in nursing at Brookline College in Albuquerque, a bachelor of arts in education from the University of New Mexico, her master's of science in nursing-nursing administration at Brookline College in Phoenix and her master's of science in nursing as a family nurse practitioner candidate from Herzing University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is an emergency room registered nurse and has experience in stroke center and heart hospital emergency rooms. Additionally, she is skilled in family practice, geriatrics, pulmonology, sleep medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology. Lujan is a member of the Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and New Mexico Department of Corrections/Wexford Healthcare Forms Committee. She sees patients at Lovelace Westside Hospital Sleep Center, 10501 Golf Course NW.

Ed Gonzalez has been hired as a network contract specialist with the provider services team with True Health New Mexico. Gonzalez attended the College of Southern Nevada and DeVry University. He has 30 years of experience in customer service, eight of which have been in health care at Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico. Gonzalez is a frequent volunteer with Team Red, White and Blue Albuquerque Chapter, a nonprofit that works with New Mexico veterans. True Health New Mexico is a physician-led health insurance company.

Bill Denis has been hired as a commercial accountant manager by Sunstate Solar. Denis received his bachelor's degree from Lawrence University and ran his own business for 25 years in Chicago. He has held corporate field positions with Toyota Motor Sales in California and New Jersey, where he was part of the team which established the Lexus dealer network.

PROMOTIONS

Chris Henderson has been promoted to principal at REDW LLC. Henderson received his bachelor of science in business administration from Boston University's Questrom School of Management. He has more than 10 years of finance accounting experience serving commercial clients, and has been with REDW since 2016. Henderson is a certified public accountant, certified information technology professional and has taken leadership positions in such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Construction Financial Management Association. REDW is an accounting firm headquartered in Albuquerque with offices in Phoenix, Arizona, and Edmond, Oklahoma.

Cynthia Luna has been promoted from underwriting manager to director of underwriting and customer service by New Mexico Mutual. Luna has a bachelor's of science in applied management and a master's degree in management from the National American University, and is a Leadership Albuquerque graduate. She has nearly 20 years of industry experience, 12 years as an independent agent, and more than seven years with New Mexico Mutual. New Mexico Mutual is the largest writer of workers' compensation in the state and has served the area for 30 years.

Adrian Gonzalez, project controls manager for Jordan Foster Construction, has joined the board of directors of the Border Industrial Association. Gonzalez earned his bachelor's of engineering from University of Texas at El Paso, and a master's of business administration from Texas A&M University Commerce. He also is a certified merger and acquisition advisor, project manager professional and a qualifying party in the State of New Mexico for GA-98, GB-98, and GF-98 classifications. Gonzalez has extensive experience in the construction industry and corporate development, as well as several patents, and has previously worked for Helen of Troy, URENCO USA, and URENCO ChemPlants in England. The Boarder Industrial Association is a nonprofit industrial advocacy group. Founded in 2009, it is the largest industrial association in New Mexico.

APPLAUSE

The City of Albuquerque's Department of Finance and Administrative Services has been awarded the Government Finance Officers Association's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. This award is given to entities that show commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting, and satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. The department was one of more than 1,600 participants in the GFOA Budget Awards Program.
