Clear Fork Local Schools to become part of Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center in July

Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (MOESC) welcomes the Clear Fork Valley School District as a client district. Clear Fork Valley Schools Board of Education approved the move to Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center at the Dec.15 regular board meeting. The Mid-Ohio ESC Board of Governors voted unanimously to accept the petition of membership Dec. 21. Clear Fork Valley Schools membership will begin July 1.

“On behalf of the Mid-Ohio ESC Board of Governors and Directors, we would like to welcome Clear Fork Valley School District and we look forward to supporting their students and staff," noted MOESC Superintendent Kevin Kimmel in a news release. "Mid-Ohio ESC had previously served Clear Fork as a client district, and we welcome the opportunity to grow our partnership and to support the positive direction of the district.”

“We are excited about our new partnership with Mid Ohio Educational Service Center," said Clear Fork Superintendent Janice Wyckoff. "It will offer new opportunities for our students and staff."

Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center provides specialized academic and support services, including professional development, to 10 school districts and over 17,000 students in Crawford, Morrow and Richland Counties.

Walmart pharmacies to host Wellness Day this Saturday

BENTONVILLE, ARK — Walmart stores across the country will host the first Walmart Wellness Day of 2023 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Customers can receive free health screenings for things like glucose, cholesterol, BMI and blood pressure, as well as affordable immunizations like flu, COVID-19, mumps, measles and more at pharmacies nationwide, including Walmart stores in Mansfield and Ontario.

More than 4,600 Walmart pharmacies across the country will host Wellness Day events Saturday. Select stores will also feature vision screenings and in-store giveaways and demos of wellness products to make it even easier for customers to access the specialized services they need.

Richland Academy announces new visual arts classes
