Once a month for nine months members of Leadership Marion! meet with local leaders and organizations to learn more about the community and its challenges.

Leadership Marion!, a comprehensive program of the Marion Area Chamber Foundation that's designed to prepare the community’s next generation of leaders, is now accepting applications for its 2022-2023 class. The program seeks to identify, recruit and develop leaders who represent the diversity of our local community.

Through a dynamic, intensive, interactive, nine-month experience, Leadership Marion! is customized to provide a curriculum that enhances community acumen to augment current leaders and develop future leaders who will assume larger roles in their organizations, the Chamber and other community organizations.

The class, which meets one day a month from September through May, explores essential aspects of the Marion community, from education, business and government to health care and social services. Each class gives back to the community through a class project after identifying a current need and proposing a plan to address it.

Since Leadership Marion! began in 1991, more than 650 people have completed the program.

Tuition for the nine-month program is $850 for Chamber members and $1,150 for non-Chamber members. Nonprofit organization scholarship is available. The deadline for submitting applications for this year’s class is Aug. 31. For more information including an application, contact the Chamber at chamberstaff@marionareachamber.org or 740-382-2181 or visit marionareachamber.org/leadership.
