Briefs: ODOT announces work on U.S. 30 and Ohio 39

News in brief

Traffic alerted to lane closures

U.S. Route 30 from the Fifth Avenue interchange ramps to just past the Ashland County line, has lane closures for pavement repairs this week, according a news release from the Ohio Department of Transportation. Crews are doing pavement repairs along U.S. 30 eastbound and westbound in the passing lane from Laver Road to Ohio 603. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times.

The signal at Ohio 39 will be in flash mode in preparation for full operation in a couple of weeks. In addition, crews will work at the Ohio 13 and Longview Avenue intersection installing temporary loop detection until paving is completed and permanent signal timing can be installed.

Mainline construction project work along U.S. 30 will resume the first week of April, weather permitting.

Ohio 39 in the city of Mansfield, between East Sixth Street and Lafayette Avenue, is reduced to one lane of traffic for water line work. Traffic will be maintained by portable traffic signals. This portion of Ohio 39 is anticipated to close April 17 for 60 days for bridge demolition.
