Free community concert on campus

The Ohio State University at Marion welcomes back the Palace Theatre Big Band to campus at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 on the steps of the Library Classroom Building as part of a free outdoor community concert called Sunset Serenade.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments and set up around the central water feature on campus or just outside the Library Classroom Building to hear the band.

Band members include some of the best musicians in the Marion area. The band will be joined by vocalists Ann Schertzer and John Garnes.

This series features a variety of performance styles from traditional Irish folk music to the big band era, from Broadway to traditional choral, and even historical performance narrative.
