Yoga 4 Cancer at the Mansfield Y

The YMCA of North Central Ohio is offering an oncology yoga class this summer, starting July 11, with instructor Mindy Wood. Classes will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in the group room at the Mansfield Y, 750 Scholl Road.

Those touched by cancer as well their caregivers are invited to participate. This is a gentle form of Yoga. Equipment is provided. Please bring a water bottle. Guest passes are available.

Pet supplies for fines and more at the Crestline Public Library

CRESTLINE — Crestline Public Library continues to accept pet food and supplies in lieu of fines through July. The value of the pet food/supply must be at least half the value of the fine. All supplies will be donated to the Humane Society Serving Crawford County.

Suggested donations include: Purina Dry Dog Food or Iams Dry Dog Food (not expired); Purina Dry or Iams Dry Kitten Food (not expired); bleach; paper towels; Nyla bones; Milk Bones; and cat toys.

There will be no library programs this week but coming up at 5 p.m. on July 11 is the program "I've Been Working on the Railroad," presented by Kevin Taylor of CSX Railroad. This program is for all ages. There will not be a morning children's program on this day.

On July 12 at 4 p.m. it's the program "PCB's (highly carcinogenic chemical compounds) and How They Affect Cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises)." It will be presented by Marine Naturalist and Marine Biology major Holden Gabriel.

Ohio high school students invited to join Teen Ambassador Board

COLUMBUS — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is accepting applications from high school juniors and seniors for the Teen Ambassador Board, an immersive experience that offers firsthand knowledge of Ohio law and government.

Board members serve a one-year term. They will actively advise the Attorney General's Office on issues concerning their peers while collaborating with fellow students to develop innovative solutions. The program entails two gatherings in Columbus. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to participate in various events and initiatives across the state.

Eligibility for the Teen Ambassador Board is open to all Ohio high school students who will be juniors or seniors during the upcoming academic year. The application deadline is July 21. To apply, go to ohioattorneygeneral.gov.
