A child's health issues are the main concern for the family in Brighten A Christmas case No. 5.

The 8-year-old girl has global learning disability and has been diagnosed as ADHD. Global developmental delay is an umbrella term used when children are significantly delayed in their cognitive and physical development.

It can be diagnosed when a child is delayed in one or more milestones, categorized into motor skills, speech, cognitive skills and social and emotional development. She receives services for her disability.
