Brightline service from Orlando to Miami starts next week. Here are the ticket deals

Brightline's South Florida high-speed train service is officially extending its northernmost stop to Orlando this month and has some ticket deals for those who want to jump on at a discount.

Starting on Friday, September 22, Brightline customers will be able to buy a ticket from Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach to Orlando. The first train to Orlando was originally penciled in for Labor Day weekend, but was delayed due to a long certification process.

An official time has not been announced for the first Brightline train to Orlando, which will depart from Miami. But Brightline spokesperson Katie Mitzner told The Post that it's expected to leave Miami between 6:45 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Here's what we know about Brightline's ticket pricing to Orlando and what discounts are available.

How much will Brightline tickets cost?

Brightline tickets from West Palm Beach to Orlando range from $79 to $149 for a one-way ticket. Prices start at $79 for Smart tickets and rise to $149 for Premium tickets. Tickets can be bought at Brightline stations or online.

Do kids travel free on Brightline?

Babies under 24 months travel free with Brightline. Kids don't travel free, but their tickets are significantly discounted and there's a group discount for families traveling together.

Kids ages two through 12 ride for 50% off Smart tickets and groups of four or more save 25%. Kids' Smart one-way tickets are $39.

Is Brightline pet friendly? Are dogs allowed on the trains?

Dogs and cats are allowed on Brightline trains. The website's pet policy says that pets must be leashed or crated while in Brightline stations and on trains. The West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale stations have pet relief areas.

Does Brightline offer a student discount?

There are student discounts for Brightline tickets. If you create a Brightline account with your student email, you'll receive a 25% student discount.

Where do I enter my Brightline promo code?

Brightline is offering group discounts. Groups of no less than four and no more than sixteen people are eligible for a 25% discount with a promo code at checkout. This offer is good through the end of the year. You can enter your promo code at checkout.
