UPDATED: Brightline to Orlando: You've arrived, so now what are your transportation options?

So you've just taken the two-hour Brightline train ride from West Palm Beach to Orlando, and you're about to soak up all the fun in the Disney city, but there's only one problem — you don't have a car and you're not at Disney World.

That's because plans to expand to the Orlando area from South Florida no longer include a stop at Disney Springs, officials announced in 2022.

But instead of a station on Disney-owned land, Brightline has its station at Orlando International Airport, then is expected to build stations at the Orange County Convention Center and an alternate site near Disney Springs.

So what are your options?

The easiest: If you are riding solo, Uber is the best option

Brightline riders can now pre-book an Uber ride without having to leave the Brightline app.

After selecting a train trip, but before paying, Brightline app users will be prompted to see if they need to book a ride before or after their train ride. Here, riders can also add parking, baggage or pets.

App users can select if they need to be dropped off at the starting station, a pickup from the destination station, or both.

THE UBER PARTNERSHIP: Brightline, Uber partner to offer another first-and-last-mile option

This Brightline+ service also includes complimentary private rides available for Premium ticket holders within a 5-mile radius of all Brightline South Florida stations (Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach).

However, if you are traveling with a family, it is likely cheaper to take an Uber through the Uber app once dropped off at the Brightline station. That's because the Uber app does not charge by the person and only has a flat rate ride.
