A man has been jailed for carrying out a series of sexual assaults on Brighton seafront.

Mohamed Abdelsalam, 25, was sentenced to six years and six months in prison at Lewes Crown Court on Friday.

Abdelsalam, from Bristol Road, Brighton, was found guilty of four counts of sexual assault and one count of assault by penetration during a trial.

He attacked his four victims between 11 and 25 February, 2023.

Abdelsalam will also spend four years on extended licence, is the subject of an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and will be on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
