Brimfield Aldi store to open May 18 in Brimfield Commons retail development
After almost two years of anticipation, the long-awaited Aldi store off Tallmadge Road in Brimfield opens next week.
The store, located at 110 Brimfield Ridge circle, will open at 9 a.m. May 18, according to a company press release.
The Aldi is in the Brimfield Commons development just west of Menards and New Wave Car Wash. The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

The store is planning a grand opening celebration, offering a gift card to the first 100 customers as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card during the opening weekend from May 18 through May 21.
Aldi has opened more than 1,000 stores throughout the United States over the past decade. In addition to the Brimfield store, Aldi has locations in Stow, Ravenna and Streetsboro, which is set to be replaced with a new location on the west side of town.

The store plans to offer fresh, organic produce, food for gluten-free and plant-based lifestyles, and curbside and grocery delivery options.
“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Corey Stucker, Hinckley regional vice president for Aldi. “We have served this community for more than 19 years and are excited to continue to offer Kent residents an affordable way of shopping.”
Brimfield officials announced that Aldi was coming to the township in November 2021.
The store is opening in an area that has seen a flurry of new construction in recent years, including a new Meijer store and Menards, as well as numerous smaller stores, including Jiffy Lube, Arby's, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Burger King and Panda Express.
The developments are located at the interchange of Tallmadge Road and Interstate 76.
